Fire Blankets

URBAN Fire Blanket

URBAN Fire Blanket is a rapid-response solution for early-stage lithium-ion battery fires involving e-scooters, e-bikes, power tools, laptops, power banks and other small electronic devices. It is available in two formats: a wall-mounted version for permanent installation in public and commercial spaces, and a portable version in a carry bag for homes, vehicles, response teams, and mobile use.

Wherever a lithium battery fire risk exists, but a fixed installation isn't practical,  the portable URBAN Fire Blanket puts the same fast, effective response within reach: in a service van, a police or emergency vehicle, on public transport, or alongside a defibrillator in a workshop, hospital, airport or office.

Built for an electric world where lithium-ion devices are everywhere, URBAN Fire Blanket puts fast, effective fire response wherever it's needed.

Technology
How it works
Isolate the incident. Protect the surroundings. URBAN Fire Blanket is a break-glass, wall-mounted solution, or a bag-carried, grab-and-go solution, for early-stage lithium-ion battery fires. Designed for use by non-professionals as well as trained personnel, it can be deployed within seconds to cover small burning devices such as e-scooters, e-bikes, power tools or other electronics. When placed over the fire source, the fire blanket limits oxygen supply, contains flames, and reduces heat and smoke spread. Its high-temperature resistant fabric withstands extreme heat, helping prevent fire from spreading to nearby materials until emergency services arrive.

What is the Urban Emergency Fire Blanket used for?

The Urban Emergency Fire Blanket is used for early-stage containment of small lithium-ion battery fires in public environments. It is designed to help isolate fires involving e-scooters, e-bikes, power banks, and small electronic devices before they spread to surrounding materials .

Can the blanket be used by non-professionals?

Yes. The product is specifically intended for non-professional users as a first-response measure in public areas such as schools, transport hubs, shopping centers, and parking garages . It is designed for safe deployment during early warning signs of a lithium battery incident.

When should the fire blanket be used?

The blanket should be used at early warning stages, such as:

  • A swollen (bulging) battery

  • Initial smoke from a device

  • Small, limited flames that can be safely covered

ALWAYS CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT!

Does the URBAN Emergency Fire Blanket extinguish battery fires?

The Urban Emergency Fire Blanket is designed to contain and isolate small, localized fires. It helps limit oxygen supply and reduce flame spread, smoke, and damage. It is not intended to extinguish large or fully developed battery fires .

What should be done after the blanket is deployed?

Once deployed, the URBAN Emergency Fire Blanket should remain in place. Do not lift it to check the fire, as re-ignition may occur. Emergency services should be contacted immidiately, and handling or disposal must be performed by trained personnel due to potential contamination .
